Captain Kona Sable's first one-sheet. She looked at it for six minutes and then left the room. We took it as a yes.
The Long Watch
2022·Delivered. No pending notes, which we still cannot quite believe.·2 h 04 m
A guardian watches a quiet town and says nothing until it counts.
Captain Kona Sable’s guardian thriller, shot on location over a hot eleven weeks
and finished without a stunt double, because she declined one by looking at it.
We did not push.
The zoomies were left in the final cut. This was not a creative decision at the
time — the camera was rolling and nobody was going to stop her — but it plays,
and critics called it “kinetic,” and the sequence now opens the third act. We
take our luck where we find it and we are grateful for all of it.
It is our only delivery with no pending notes. Wendell Fung at the Delivery Desk
keeps the file marked final and checks on it, unprompted, most Fridays, just to
be sure it is still happy.
[Said nothing. Watched the entire crew for six hours. The set has never been safer. Will have notes.]
Captain Kona Sable · Guardian lead, The Long Watch
The zoomies, take four, left in the final cut. Critics called it kinetic. Rosa Delgado called it Tuesday.
